At our state convention, on March 13, elections were held for party officers, statewide and district candidates.  It is certainly with mixed emotions that after 5 years, I relinquish the reigns, but I am proud and honored to present to you our new officers who will lead our state party into the battle for the very souls of our state and our nation.  I am confident that under the leadership of these capable people, the Constitution Party will take the field and deliver up victories!

Additionally, candidate elections were held following the election of our officers. For some of you, there will be a tremendous surprise in our candidate elections. Instead of becoming the official nominee for Governor of Illinois; I was elected as the official nominee for the office of U.S. Senate. This would have not been possible had it not been for Michael White who was running as an Independent for Governor.  With Michael seeking our nomination for Governor, we were actually able to strengthen our ticket far beyond anyone’s expectations (and maybe imaginations). I believe that Michael White will be destined to become a rising star within our party, our state and across the nation when we get him elected as the Constitution Party’s candidate for Governor of Illinois.

There is tremendous excitement!!  We have every intention of becoming the state to lead the nation in restoring constitutional boundaries to our state and to these United States of America!!

Constitution Party of Illinois

The Constitution Party has the ideals, the platform and the message to become a significant force on the political landscape.  It currently lacks only "grassroots" development - - and an army of volunteers at the local level.  The political maxim, "all politics is local," will have new meaning as the Constitution Party takes root here in Illinois.

The strategic plan of the Constitution Party is focused on building and developing our state party and more importantly, providing men and women committed to restoring our constitutional republic.  Just as a building is only as strong as it's foundation, a political movement can prevail only if it is organized effectively at the grassroots level.  The Constitution Party is committed to providing tools at the local and state level.  These tools include, candidate training seminars and "in the field" assistance.  Properly equipped candidates will convey the message and win races.

With local organizations functioning effectively, they will enable the Party to achieve its goal of getting Constitutionalists elected and provide a base of support for  local, state, and national candidates.

In preparation for gaining ballot access and running candidates, the Constitution Party here in Illinois is in the process of organizing the state by establishing an official chapter of the party within each of the one hundred two counties.
